Yuzu is a totally free open source Nintendo Switch emulator made by Citra Team, the exact same group of developers that made Citra, the Nintendo 3DS emulator written about previously. The two emulators share a lot of similarity in their code. It's officially available on 64-bit Windows 7 and over, in addition to 64-bit Linux hardware. 8 gigabytes of RAM is the bare minimum, while 16 gigabytes is recommended. MacOS isn't currently supported, but, as of April 2020, compatibility for the hardware has been developed; it is not currently known when this will be put into place. Yuzu is known to be user-friendly. To play with the many playable games lawfully, you are required to ditch them from your own Nintendo switch. DLC and game upgrades can be installed, and this can be known to be quite a straightforward procedure. In terms of connecting controllers for use, you'll want to change some settings, although the details depend on what game you're playing, in addition to your own hardware. With a mouse and computer keyboard works for games, also you can especially set up your mouse and keyboard for certain actions.

One feature that Yuzu has is quite similar to a Citra has (which was written about previously). You can select whether you would like to install the Yuzu Nightly version or the Yuzu Canary variant. Yuzu Nightly is a far more stable version of Yuzu that will be easier for you to use and play games with, but it doesn't have any features you might want accessible. The Yuzu Canary variant, in contrast, may not be as steady as Nightly, but contains a few features Nightly doesn't have available. Much like in Citra, these attributes are sometimes experimental; they might be eventually put into Yuzu Nightly, other times they're left exclusively in Yuzu Canary, or, sometimes, removed completely from any kind of available Yuzu applications. Other times they're just features that only work with lesser performance (Or brings the game's performance down), which is the reason they would be exclusive to the less steady variant (Yuzu Canary).
